Sounds at 7
The world is locked in a struggle between love and fear.
Choose Love Always.
Such is the rallying cry now for doctors and nurses and all those on the front lines in this crisis,
as they show us what love looks like over and over.
Dr. Vivek Murthy, past Surgeon General of the U.S
.
Each day, our courageous and compassionate healthcare workers are on the front lines
working to save the lives of people who have contracted the coronavirus.
They risk their lives to save ours.
7am and 7pm are the times when healthcare workers change shifts in the hospital.
We will join the worldwide efforts to honor our healthcare workers at change of shift
In Idaho, we will show our appreciation by:
Ringing Bells
We are working to partner with local churches, synagogues and temples to invite them to ring their bells at 7am and 7pm each day to honor our healthcare workers on the front line. Can you help us?
Musical Gratitude at 7pm
Please ring your own bells, sing, clap, clang pots and/or play music to celebrate our healthcare workers at 7pm each evening
We are also inviting local musicians (both aspiring and professional) to share music from their lawns, patios and balconies each evening.
Music is a relief from the isolation of life.
– James Taylor
Quiet Gratitude at 7am
We invite you to write a letter or poem, light a candle and/or dedicate a song, prayer or meditation to express gratitude those on the front lines.
Please share your pictures, poems, videos and stories with us.
We will post them on social media to let our healthcare workers know how much we appreciate their courageous and compassionate work!
Check out these inspiring expressions of gratitude for our healthcare workers in New York!
Music in itself is healing.
It’s an explosive expression of humanity.
