Planting Hope
Hope, like a flower in the spring, eases everything we fear
and diminishes the darkness of the moment.
Jerry Sheinbach
The coronavirus pandemic has led to unprecedented challenges in our communities.
As we considered ways to address the suffering of our friends, neighbors and families, we learned:
Many cultures around the world place ribbons on trees to express their wishes, dreams
and hopes for healing
We would like to start this tradition in Idaho and we invite you to join us.
Please write your hope, wish or dream on a colorful ribbon (or piece of fabric)
Tie the ribbon from a branch on a tree outside your home or business
Your wishes could include patients who are ill, friends who are out of work, neighbors who are lonely or isolated, people who have lost of a loved one, our first responders, local business owners ... anyone who is facing profound challenges.
Together, we will fill our trees with ribbons of hope -
reflections of the abundant compassion,
humanity & kindness in our communities
Please share your photos, hopes, stories and videos with us
We will post them on social media to offer hope to our friends, neighbors and families worldwide
