We have developed the Idaho Physician Well-Being Action Collaborative to:
Bring local physicians and healthcare system executives together for collaboration
Identify specific, actionable ways to reduce physician burnout and enhance physician well-being
Work together to implement changes in our healthcare system to enable physicians to provide high quality medical care with health and vitality
Our first project is to identify ways to simplify medication prior-authorization by providing physicians with patient-specific medication information (costs/ alternatives) and electronic prior-authorization capability at the time of service via EHR.
For this March 6th meeting, we have invited representatives from athenahealth and CoverMyMeds to discuss current legislation and opportunities to integrate this technology in our private offices, hospitals and clinics.
If you would like to participate, please contact Deb Roman.
