According to a study at Mayo Clinic published in JAMA, physicians who participated in facilitated physician discussion groups reported increased empowerment and engagement at work - and the number of participants strongly agreeing that their work was meaningful increased.
In response to studies highlighting the value of ongoing physician discussion groups, we have organized a Rediscovering Meaning In Our Work physician discussion group in Boise.
Each month, we meet to connect with members of our physician community and explore a topic relevant to physicians. Our discussions are focused on physician well-being and meaningful work.
Please join us for relaxed conversations with peers. You are invited to participate whenever it is convenient.
In most cases, we meet on the third Thursday of the month. Starting in March, we will meet at the Lemon Tree Cafe in Boise. We have the place to ourselves from 6-7:30pm and the food is delicious! We each purchase our own food and beverages, so I have included the link to their amazing menu: http://www.lemontreeboise.com/menu.html
This month, due to Treefort, we will meet on the 4th Thursday, March 28th.
If you would like to join us, please contact Deb Roman.
Physicians who are interested in developing an individualized approach to enhance their health, vitality and enthusiasm for professional work are invited to schedule Meaningful Work Physician to Physician Consultations.
