According to a study at Mayo Clinic published in JAMA, physicians who participated in facilitated physician discussion groups reported increased empowerment and engagement at work - and the number of participants strongly agreeing that their work was meaningful increased.
In response to studies highlighting the value of ongoing physician discussion groups, we have organized a Rediscovering Meaning In Our Work physician discussion group in Boise.
Each month, we explore a topic relevant to physicians. Our discussions are focused on physician well-being and meaningful work.
We meet at the Lemon Tree cafe in Boise. Please join us for relaxed conversations with peers and delicious food. You are welcome to participate whenever it is convenient.
From May through September, we meet at 6pm on the third Tuesday each month. From October through April, we meet at 6pm on the third Thursday each month.
If you would like to join us or receive an email reminder for our meetings, please contact Deb Roman.
*We each purchase our own food and beverages, so I have included the link to their amazing menu: http://www.lemontreeboise.com/menu.html
Physicians who are interested in developing an individualized approach to enhance their health, vitality and enthusiasm for professional work are invited to schedule Meaningful Work Physician to Physician Consultations.
